James Chao is a Summer Associate at the San Jose Office of Talkov Law, where the focus of his civil litigation practice is in real estate, business law, and bankruptcy litigation.
James is currently a student at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law where he is an avid member of the Trademark Moot Court. While at USC Law, James was an extern for the Hon. Nathanael Cousins at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
James graduated summa cum laude in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. There, he participated in multiple research projects and Mock Trial. Prior to joining Talkov Law, James was a research assistant for the Program in Corporate Welfare at UC Irvine and for professor Gary Richardson at UC Irvine.
In his free time, James enjoys esports and cooking.
